BABCOCK DEBUNKS RUMOURED SCHOOL FEES HIKE

It's been Viral on Social media that Babcock University Increased its school fees for medical students to Three Million Naira.  However, The Management of Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun state, has denied the recent claims by some students of the University that the school tuition fees of different departments for the next academic session has been increased outrageously.
In a statement released and signed by the Director, External and Community Affair, Joshua Suleiman, the school Management has officially denied the students claims

The Release further states that "Our attention has been drawn to some misinformation and misinterpretation of the University's fees as posted on some blogs.  For the avoidance of doubt, we present here the official fees of the 2013/2014 session as approved by the University Administration."
"The average fee at BU is N630,500 and this covers Accommodation, Feeding, Tuition, Medical Insurance and Miscellaneous.

The Director added that what the School Management have approved had no hidden charges, stating that, "Law students are to pay N763,000 as against the reported N2million, Accounting is N763,000 as against the reported N1.5 Million, Medicine is N2 Million consolidated as against the reported N3 Million and Nursing is N763,000 as against the reported N1Million"
One can rightly say that the recent outcry by the students was done to draw Public attention to the exorbitant fees being charged by the school.   A 200 level student of Mass Communication (names withheld) had this to say, ‘I am a student of babcock university(mass communication) I am going to 200lvl next semester and my school fees amounts to #747,300 as opposed to #584,000. Babcock university is not a university, it is a family business. We have the VC,VCs wife is director of ventures,VCs brother is director of transport…so what are we saying? Last semester 10 tear rubber prado jeeps were bought for some of the staffs. With whose money?’ She asked rhetorically ( Nigeria News Day).
The real questions here are: Who regulates the activities of Private Universities, Why should Christian Universities known as Non-Governmental Organisations be very expensive???
This is just the Beginning of Out cries. . .
