Oshiomhole Shuns Protesters: Swears in Newly Elected LG Chairmen

The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole performed the swearing in ceremony of the Local Government Chairmen who emerged from the elections that was held on Wednesday and Thursday this week admidst raging protest from members of the People's Democratic Party, PDP,  in the state.


While performing the ceremony at the Government House in Benin City, Yesterday (Friday), He used the opportunity to react to some of the allegations by the PDP, saying that those protesting were hired thugs recruited by the Party to create an impression that the people of the state were dissatisfied with the outcome of the polls


The Governor congratulated them on their re-election noting that it was their performance that made the people of Edo state to re-elect them.

The chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Osaro Obaze who spoke on behalf of the newly elected Local Government Chairmen, Pledged their continued commitment to the people of Edo State.
