A China-bound passenger with the sum of $355,685 was Yesterday arrested By Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service Stationed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The Public Relations Officer of the Customs at the airport, Mrs. Thelma Williams, said the passenger, identified as Okonkwo Onyeka Nonso with passport number A03515894, could not explain the source of the money.
She added that the passenger is currently in the custody of the Customs and will be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for further investigation.
